Sao Paulo, August 2020 – Eurofarma, reaffirming its belief in the appreciation of the medical class, has developed a series of communication materials so that healthcare professionals can engage with their patients and ensure a safe return to clinics and doctors’ offices.

This initiative came following a warning that chronic patients, who need frequent monitoring, stopped seeking care due to the insecurity brought about by the coronavirus. The actions included an online lecture by infectious disease specialist Bruno Scapellini, who gave important tips and addressed all the steps needed to ensure location asepsis, proper care with scrubs and personal protective equipment that should be used by healthcare professionals, as well as procedures for patient entry into the doctors’ offices. Leny Kyrillos, a speech therapist specializing in voice and commentator for CBN radio, also shared her knowledge with professionals about how to communicate assertively and convey safety to patients amidst the pandemic. One of the highlights of the presentation was how to express oneself properly using all the necessary equipment (mask, face shield, cap, etc.), items that impair interpersonal communication.

At www.eurofarma.com.br/voltapacientes, healthcare professionals can watch the webinar with Scapellini and Kyrillos and customize communication materials, with patient guidance and identification of their clinic or doctor’s office. There are 10 different templates, which can be customized with name and logo, all ready to print and free of charge.

So far, the company has allocated more than BRL 25 million for humanitarian aid and defined four different action fronts: donation of medicines; purchase and distribution of staple food kits; donation of personal protective equipment and hand sanitizer gel; and financial support to health institutions (Hospital São Paulo/Unifesp and Graac).
