São Paulo, July 2019 – The second edition of Eurofarma Synapsis, Eurofarma's acceleration program aimed at supporting entrepreneurship in Latin America and encouraging healthcare innovation, enters the mentoring phase with the eight scale-ups already defined. This second edition had 194 companies registered, a number that represents a qualification of the candidate scale-ups within a more specific performance.
The selected companies presented solutions to contribute to process improvement and efficiency in healthcare chain productivity, focusing on Business Intelligence, shared services, commercial and marketing, industrial operations and sustainability. Below is a list of the chosen scale-ups:
From August, scale-ups will be mentored by Endeavor, a global non-profit organization that has been a partner of Eurofarma in the program for four months. Selected companies will be able to leverage their business by having industry information and trends available, coaching in support areas such as marketing, sales and logistics, and access to Eurofarma's relationship network. There are more than 4,000 suppliers, more than 1,500 active clients (B2B), almost 600,000 medical contacts per month and a presence with healthcare products and services in 20 Latin American countries. Then the chosen companies will start to implement a pilot project with Eurofarma so that they will have the opportunity to close a long-term contract later.
“We performed a careful assessment regarding the entrepreneur profile and its team, the degree of innovation and business model presented, considering the impact it can generate within Eurofarma. Thereby, we came up with eight selected scale-ups,” explains Marco Billi, Corporate Venture and New Business Manager.
“It was a well thought out process that involved two phases. We had a first selection of 14 finalists, who introduced themselves to the assessment group and, out of these, eight were chosen for the program", says Luis Felipe Franco, head of Open Innovation at Endeavor.
