Sao Paulo, July 2020 – Doctors interested in voting on their favorite for the overall winner of the Euro Health Innovation Award have only until August 4 to participate. Out of the more than 1,655 submitted projects, 11 innovative, socially-impactful health initiatives were selected. Of those, 10 have already been awarded the corresponding amount to fifty thousand euros (€50,000.00) in Brazilian reais each, and the big winner will receive the corresponding amount to five hundred thousand euros (€500,000.00) in Brazilian reais.

Doctors wishing to cast their votes for their favorite project must register at www.premioeuro.com.br, where all relevant information on the candidates are available for consultations. The result will come out in September.

Euro Innovation Award

The initiative, unprecedented in Brazil, was sponsored exclusively by Eurofarma, which saw the award as an opportunity to encourage health innovation, endorsing projects that can be implemented with effective results, in addition to reaffirming the company’s belief in supporting medical professionals throughout the country.

“We are very happy with the whole journey leading up to the choice of the big winner. The medical community really engaged in the project, exceeding our expectations. We found interesting initiatives that can make a difference in the health of Brazilians”, says Roberta Junqueira, Eurofarma’s Commercial Director.

The award will distribute a total amount of €1 million (equivalent in Brazilian reais, subject to income tax withholding).
