São Paulo, September 23, 2024 –  Eurofarma, one of the Best Companies to Work for in Brazil according to GPTW, announces its commitment to two important initiatives of the UN Global Compact, Rede Brasil: Elas Lideram (Women Lead) and Raça é Prioridade (Race is Priority). The initiative is a response to the challenge of strengthening Diversity and Inclusion in the company, a theme that was established as one of the priorities of the company's medium-term strategic planning in its Vision 2027.

For Daniela Panagassi, Global Vice President of People and Organization at Eurofarma, this pact is an important milestone on the road to building an even more inclusive and equitable corporate environment. “Joining this global effort means reinforcing our commitment to promoting gender equity and racial diversity in all our operations and initiatives. We want to position ourselves more and more as a leading player in the field, mainly because we believe in it,” she says.

The "Elas Lideram" Movement encourages companies to adopt goals for gender equality and has the ambition to reach the mark of 1,500 companies committed to the theme, supporting them in assuming these goals. Among the objectives, it wants to promote 11,000 women to senior leadership positions by 2030, reaching 50% representation, and to have at least 150 high-level leaders engaged in the initiative. On the other hand, the project "Raça é Prioridade" (Race is a Priority) shares the ambition of the number of member corporations and aims for 50% of black people in leadership positions by 2030.

"By August 2024, 61% of the company's hires were women and 56% of its promotions were also given to women. In addition, we mapped black and brown (pardo) employees identified as potential talents, who were included in an acceleration program so that they could develop into great leaders of the structure. Now we are part of these movements that are aligned with our goals of strong progress in Diversity and Inclusion," comments Daniela.
